Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Roosevelt High School!  My name is Jimmy Ledbetter and I am excited to be the principal at RHS!  I am entering my 15th year at Roosevelt and my 17th year in education over all.  In my time at RISD I have taught science and coached football, basketball, and golf in the Junior High and High School.  I am excited to begin my third year as the campus principal for RHS.  I am also proud to announce that in 2017-2018, RHS Met Standard and received 5 Distinction Designations on our state accountability.  This is a testament to the quality of the faculty, staff, and students at RHS!  They truly are phenomenal!  My goal, each day, for RHS is to create a place that students and staff want to be, and I hope to bring a positive outlook and energy to our campus each and every day.
RISD is continuing to make updates to our facilities and this past summer we renovated our Culinary Arts Lab to a full commercial kitchen.  The change is amazing!  Also, we have just begun work on improving our softball and baseball complexes.  These changes are exciting and will greatly enhance the experiences of our students.  I invite you to come on by and check it all out for yourself!  Roosevelt is a great place to live and learn and I hope to showcase that to the world!  It's a great day to be an Eagle!
